TV Newsline: Steve Carrell's exit from The Office with be extra-long

Fans of extend Office episodes rejoice! (As for the detractors of such episodes, I don't know, hang your heads in exasperation or something.)
Because this whole process just hasn't felt long enough (and you never know what other special guest stars the show could come up with last minute), NBC announced today that the April 28th episode of The Office, which sees the departure of Steve Carrell's Michael Scott - but which is NOT the season finale, which has it's own problems to deal with - will be stretched out to 50 minutes in length (with commercials). In order to make up for this, the episode of Parks and Rec that follows will be 40 minutes long, and 30 Rock will air a half-hour later, at 10:30/9:30c. The effect of all this means that there won't be a episode of Outsourced that night, and that's something we can all celebrate
