Then someone casually refers to John Brown as having been "hung by the Confederates," a neat trick, timing wise. I just stopped counting, but am reminded of the short-lived series "New Amsterdam," which opened with a view of old New Amsterdam(New York) as a village of TEPEES! I think Kate McKinnon did the best in her many roles. McKinnon plays Ellen DeGeneres perfectly. I couldn’t catch the show last night since I was working late at DISH. That being said this was the strongest episode of Futurama I have seen this season. I watched it when while we were on our road trip for California and it was so funny we actually pulled over so the driver could watch too. The best part about everything was that Bender was more upset about getting third place than he was about smashing his friend up into a sausage. I was talking to a coworker at Dish last week and she said that the show just isn’t funny anymore. I can’t wait until she sees this episode.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15310235727453575046noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4138838838712842372.post-36139908013129266242012-07-17T18:22:21.657-05:002012-07-17T18:22:21.657-05:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4138838838712842372.post-73216810617020398602012-05-06T13:39:17.203-05:002012-05-06T13:39:17.203-05:00Actually, Michaels did leave the show for seasons ...Actually, Michaels did leave the show for seasons 6-10, but it didn't fair all that well without him, and when he came back it improved greatly. Obviously, that was the show at a creative peak, but the point still stands. SNL does well enough in the ratings for its time slot and production values that NBC isn't going to get rid of Lorne, not when they have worse problems elsewhere.Corbin Stephensonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05998698140899298947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4138838838712842372.post-47916723383608767842012-05-06T00:41:21.702-05:002012-05-06T00:41:21.702-05:00I must admit, the amazon fake commercial hit home ...I must admit, the amazon fake commercial hit home with me...because my wife reads romance novels on her Kindle. ...And, yesterday I heard her in the shower, getting busy with the shower massage. I've been watching since it started (I was 14) and they get lazy. Tina Fey was a big loss, but she's made good with 30 Rock. Too bad for SNL. As such, it's hard for me to know what to make of any given host's performance since I don't have a whole lot to judge them on, but yeah, Brolin was mostly agreeable here.Corbin Stephensonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05998698140899298947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4138838838712842372.post-33334259397733976532012-04-19T12:39:17.838-05:002012-04-19T12:39:17.838-05:00Overall, I liked Josh Brolin, but it was a shame t...Overall, I liked Josh Brolin, but it was a shame that he wasn’t the focus in many of the skits. It really could have been better! The skits that he was in were good, though not great. One act that I did like was The Californians because they kept breaking character. I fell asleep a little while before it came on TV, but I was able to see it on DISH Online for free. I asked a few co-workers at DISH if they liked Josh Brolin’s hosting, and there were mixed feelings. All I know is that I didn’t think Josh was the star of the show like he should have been. I am looking forward to hearing who is hosting next, too.Damonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13299873375390186822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4138838838712842372.post-18879484941462442572012-03-28T16:48:02.162-05:002012-03-28T16:48:02.162-05:00Thanks, man. If the sets are few in number and/or close together - as is usually the case in four-cams that are actually filmed before a live studio audience - then yes. However, if the sound stage set up has set far apart or numerous in quantity - as I suspect the case might be with How I Met Your Mother given how many it uses and the relative complexity of some of them - then there might be multiple sets of cameras to avoid an overly-long set up time between filming of different scenes.Corbin Stephensonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05998698140899298947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4138838838712842372.post-56239760154501079902012-02-15T14:17:30.194-06:002012-02-15T14:17:30.194-06:00Ok that makes sense.
